DIY dresser

Ok so this dresser was from an estate sale circa 1970's.  Great quality piece but TOTALLY tacky!  So I decided to freshen it up.  I took all the drawers out and sanded them.  Then I painted it white and added the details with black acrilyc paint.  I finalized it with a clear coat of clear spray.  For inside the drawers, I used pink fabric and spray glue to spice up the look.  Simple, cheap, and TOTALLY easy!

DIY King Headboard

Ok so I wanted a headboard for my bed and I couldnt afford one, so I decided to make a custom one!  All I did was buy cheap, $1 a yard fabric at Walmart.  Took a piece of plywood and covered it in foam batting and spray glue.  Then wrapped the board in fabric and used a staple gun on the back.  I used mirror clips to keep it on the wall.  For the final custom touch, I added a pink ribbon across the top...and there you have it... a new headboard complete in about an hour!

Barbie Food

Ok so my daughter was asking for food for her barbie house.  I've looked on Amazon, Ebay, and other toy website and I couldn't find any affordable pieces for her.  So then a thought struck me, this summer, we bought eraser packs at Micaels for $1 that were really cute foods.  I have also seen them at Walgreens, Meijer, Big Lots, and other stores in the $1 bins.  So I bought super glue, and glued them together (they are puzzle erasers and ALL of the little pieces come apart).  They are PERFECT size for Barbie and now my daughters Barbie fridge is stocked, all for about $6 total!
